Addressing Forklift Safety
Forklift accidents remain a significant issue in the logistics and industrial sectors, with frequent incidents leading to severe injuries and fatalities. In 2022, the National Safety Council reported 73 forklift-related deaths, many of which involved the vehicle tipping over and crushing the operator. The Bureau of Labor Statistics emphasized that common nonfatal injuries, such as fractures, sprains, and contusions, often result from collisions, rollovers, and falling loads. These statistics highlight the critical need for enhanced safety measures and training to prevent such accidents and protect workers in these high-risk environments. Our solution utilizes the history of forklift operations to provide specific safety training for operators and employs real-time sensing to generate safety event alarms, helping workers stay alert and safe.
